Job summary

CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet our safety and reliability standards. You will recondition engines, brakes, steering and suspension, and work with a collaborative team in a climate-controlled facility.

This role offers hands-on training, access to advanced tools, and opportunities to grow with a national leader in used cars. A strong safety mindset and ASE certificates preferred; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as required by state/local law.
