Job summary

Russ Hubler CDJR in New Castle, IN is seeking a skilled Body Shop/Frame Technician to join our team. The right candidate will hold ASE certifications and be eager to learn, with duties including road testing vehicles to ensure quality repair and identifying parts needed for repairs.

You will inspect for additional or hidden repairs, follow warranty guidelines, and work closely with the shop to deliver timely, safe restorations while upholding dealership standards.

Qualifications

• ASE Certifications; Damage Analysis and Estimating, Mechanical and Electrical Components, Non-Structural Analysis and Damage Repair and State Vehicle Inspector (preferred)
• Experience with truck body/frame repairs and welding a plus or willingness to learn/train
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve parts required for repair; review repair orders, work orders and notes; follow warranty guidelines
• Adjust, replace, and repair all series of truck and trailer equipment (sheet metal, fiberglass, fabrication, alignment, electrical and mechanical repairs)
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality repair
• Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills per manufacturer standards
• Perform work as outlined on repair estimates with efficiency and accuracy
• Teardown and inspect for additional or hidden repairs
• Advise body shop estimator of additional damage or needs; notify if repairs cannot be completed on time
• Lead apprentice technicians and maintain ASE certifications
