Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton Toyota of Urbana. You will perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per dealer and factory standards, and communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production and service quality.

The role emphasizes diagnosing issues, explaining repairs to customers, and staying current with factory bulletins and certifications. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a large national dealer group.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
• 18+ years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management
