Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate in Virginia to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, from engines to suspension. You will work in a climate-controlled facility, join a team that values integrity and excellence, and receive ongoing training and advancement opportunities.

The role requires experience in engine, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC, a valid license, and ASE certifications where required.

Qualifications

• Experience with vehicle engine, steering, suspension, brakes and HVAC systems.
• Ability to follow health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work area.
• Valid driver’s license and ASE certifications as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax quality standards.
• Collaborate with a team to resolve technical challenges quickly.
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Support EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
