Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician in Farmingdale, ME to diagnose automotive systems and perform repairs with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires following VIP processes, completing work orders, and engaging customers through VIP’s service standards. The technician will source parts from the Desk Team, maintain safety and housekeeping, and pursue ASE certifications and LMS trainings to advance skills and support the 5-for-5 customer engagement process.

Qualifications

• Responsible for diagnosing automotive systems and performing repairs and maintenance.
• Adhere to safety policies and complete required safety training.
• Follow VIP processes and quality standards to ensure first-time right service.

Responsibilities

• Provide auto systems diagnosis, repair, and maintenance for customers.
• Initiate and display a valid Service Work Order before servicing a vehicle.
• Complete MPIs before service and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process.
• Order parts through the Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and proper handling of cores, batteries, and tires.
• Maintain productivity targets and participate in ongoing training and ASE certification.
