Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate in Palmdale, CA to inspect, diagnose, repair and recondition vehicles to meet quality standards. You’ll work with a skilled team in a climate-controlled facility, using advanced tools to service engines, brakes, steering and suspension while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering & suspension, brakes, and HVAC
• Strong health and safety understanding and compliance
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
• Multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license
• Maintain ASE Certifications where required

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax quality standards
• Collaborate with team to solve technical challenges quickly
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles
• Uphold CarMax commitment to customer satisfaction and trust
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep a clean, orderly workspace
