The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic abilities, a comprehensive toolset, and a collaborative work ethic. Safety is priority, and ASE certification is preferred but not always required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as auto mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship.
• Valid certification (e.g ASE).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues and perform repairs on vehicles of all ages, makes and models.
• Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify issues and determine effective repair solutions.
• Perform repairs and maintenance with high-quality workmanship.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards in the shop.
• Interact with customers and team members to explain findings and recommended actions.
