Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet safety and reliability standards in a climate-controlled facility. Responsibilities include inspecting engines, brakes, steering and suspension, and collaborating with a skilled team to service both domestic and foreign vehicles while maintaining a clean work area

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications in required areas where applicable.
