Job summary

Whaling-City-Auto-Group is seeking a Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong service technician background and ASE certification, with 2+ years of experience preferred.

You will diagnose and repair automotive systems, test components, and communicate findings to customers and the Service Advisor. You will perform work on repair orders, test-drive vehicles, and ensure repairs meet warranty and manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

2+ years of service technician experience preferred.
ASE Certification required.
B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with electronic diagnostic equipment.
Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.
Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
Enjoys a dynamic environment and collaborates well with others.
Ability to learn new technology, procedures and specs.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
Test-drive vehicles and test components using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine and electrical subsystems.
Communicate with Service Advisor about additional service needs and timing estimates.
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
