Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant III - ASD Class Aide to support students with severe emotional disturbance. The role requires a background with ED/ASD environments and coursework in child development is desirable. Position is part-time, 6.5 hours daily, 206 days/year, based in Arlington Heights.

The ideal candidate may have related experience or training, and a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days may be required for certain programs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students who have learning or communicative handicaps.
• coursework in child development is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support students with severe/emotionally disturbed needs in ASD/ED programs.
• Assist in managing classroom activities and behavior as an ASD aide.
