Job summary

Els for Autism is seeking a Personal Care Aide to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder. This is a Full-Time, 40-hour-per-week role (M-F) based on our campus at The Els Center of Excellence® and in community settings, with benefits and a $500.00 sign-on bonus after a 90-day review.

The PCA will use evidence-based practices to assist participants with activities of daily living, document services, monitor medical and behavioral needs, and work with parents and caregivers under the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS and CPR certification.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• Screening through the Florida Clearinghouse.
• Must complete PCM certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous direct support to program participants through coaching, modeling, and hands-on instructional support.
• Assist program participants with activities of daily living, personal care, and hygiene as needed.
• Document services delivered in accordance with Els for Autism Foundation policies and procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of all program participants' medical, physical, communication, and behavioral needs/concerns.
• Provide direct and continuous supervision of program participants during activities and outings on campus or in the community.
• Communicate with participant parents, guardians, and/or caregivers under the guidance of the Adult Services Program Coordinator or Associate Director of Adult Services.
• Assist Program Coordinator and Instructor with planning, implementing and facilitating program activities and outings including assisting program volunteers as needed.
• Create a safe space for participants, staff, and volunteers by monitoring and maintaining the physical environment for program activity.
