Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, performing essential pharmacy functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist in accordance with state pharmacy board regulations. This role involves active participation in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- Stock medications across all assigned pharmacy areas, including managing incoming stock and handling returned patient medications appropriately.
- Perform calculations for compounding IV admixtures, prepare chemotherapy, specialized drips, and TPN mixtures.
- Fill retail prescriptions, monitor drug recalls, record refrigerator temperatures, and resolve Pyxis system discrepancies.
- Restock drug kits such as crash carts and trays daily.
- Handle clerical duties including answering phones, processing orders, and billing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the pharmacy, equipment, and storeroom.
- Provide care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
Minimum Knowledge and Skills
