Job summary

Tri-City Cardiology Consultants Pc is looking for an ASC RN Pre/Post Op to support pre- and post-operative nursing care in the Mesa ASC. You will assist the Clinical Manager RN, participate in direct patient care, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards within the ASC setting.

The role requires an Arizona RN license, 2+ years in pre-op/PACU, and cardiology experience, with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current valid Arizona RN license.
• At least two years of RN experience with an emphasis in pre-op/PACU.
• Cardiology experience required.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing surgical or procedural interventions with pre- and post-procedural nursing management across all ages.
• Perform patient identification, verify procedure, and ensure chart completeness; communicate with ASC staff for care continuity.
• Provide assessment and pain management, administer medications, and document in the medical record according to ASC policies.
• Manage airway post-operatively and monitor recovery; address complications and notify physicians.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures (e.g., TEE, cardioversion).
• Apply aseptic technique and infection control for IV access and related procedures.
• Educate patients and families for post-discharge care.
• Participate in activities to promote quality care.

ASC RN Pre/Post Op

Location: ASC - Mesa, AZ 85206 (East Mesa – Power & Main)
Position Type: Full Time
Schedule: 4x10s days
Pay: $38.00 - $54.00 per hour

Position Summary

This role assists the Clinical Manager RN in overseeing the daily clinical operations of the pre‑operative and post‑operative areas in the ASC, following established federal, state, and accreditation standards and ASC policies. The RN participates in direct patient care, including admission to and discharge from the ASC setting.

Essential Functions

• Care for patients undergoing surgical or procedural interventions, ensuring appropriate pre‑ and post‑procedural nursing management across all ages.
• Perform proper patient identification, verify correct procedure, and confirm completeness of patient charts and associated documents; communicate with ASC personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide assessment and pain management for patients, administer medications safely, and document in the medical record according to ASC policies.
• Manage airway post‑operatively and assess recovery level, addressing complications or emergencies and notifying appropriate resources or physicians promptly.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures, including but not limited to TEE and cardioversion.
• Utilize aseptic technique and infection control principles for establishing and maintaining intravenous access and related procedures.
• Provide patient and family education and teaching for post‑discharge management.
• Participate in and implement activities to promote quality care.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide clinical care instructions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current valid Arizona RN license.
• At least two years of RN experience with an emphasis in pre‑op/PACU.
• Cardiology experience required.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Patient education and triage experience.
• Strong IV skills.
• Sheath management/removal experience.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
