Job summary

Asbury United Methodist Church is seeking a part-time Children’s Choir Director to lead kindergarten through 5th grade in joyful, Christ-centered music and worship. You will conduct weekly rehearsals and prepare children for Christmas Pageant, Children’s Sunday, and other worship opportunities.

The role requires energy, patience, and a passion for working with children, with duties including evening rehearsals and 10–15 hours of office time per week. Compensation is competitive.

Asbury United Methodist Church is looking for someone to work with our growing Children's Ministry!

Do you love music, love Jesus, and love helping children discover their gifts? Asbury UMC is looking for a part-time* Children’s Choir Director to lead children in kindergarten through 5th grade in joyful, Christ-centered music and worship. (We are open to conversations about an expanded role!)

This role will lead weekly choir rehearsals, prepare children for special worship opportunities throughout the year—including our Christmas Pageant, Children’s Sunday, and Children’s Musical—and create an environment where every child feels welcomed, valued, and encouraged to grow in faith, confidence, and musical expression.

We’re looking for someone who is energetic, patient, encouraging, and passionate about working with children, with experience in music, education, ministry, or a related setting.

**Wednesday evenings (4–7:45 p.m., August–May) are required**, along with an additional 10–15 hours of office time each week. Competitive compensation, training, and professional development opportunities are provided.
