Job summary

Peerless Environmental is seeking an Asbestos Abatement Technician to safely identify, handle, contain, remove, and dispose of asbestos-containing materials in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role may assist with mold and lead remediation and requires strict adherence to OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in asbestos abatement or related field preferred.
• State or federal asbestos certification/licensing preferred or obtainable on hire.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and hazardous material handling.
• Strong PPE usage, respirator safety and containment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect job sites to identify asbestos and hazards.
• Set up containment areas and negative air systems.
• Safely remove and dispose of asbestos-containing materials.
• Follow OSHA/EPA and local regulations for hazardous materials.
• Maintain logs, safety reports and compliance documentation.
