Job summary

Global Technical Talent, Inc. is seeking an experienced RPG/AS400 Programmer Analyst to support the Alabama Department of Public Health's Vital Statistics System in Montgomery, AL.

This 100% on-site role requires hands-on maintenance, development, and production support for legacy enterprise applications on the IBM AS400 platform. The contract is 6 months with potential conversion to Alabama State Merit System employment; candidates should have 8+ years of verifiable RPG experience and strong

Qualifications

8 years of verifiable RPG programming experience.
IBM AS400 platform experience.
Experience within the last 12-15 years.
Business-critical application support experience.
Eligible for Alabama State Merit System employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance the ADPH Vital Statistics System.
Develop and modify RPG applications.
Troubleshoot production issues.
Perform testing and validation.
Document changes and procedures.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
Support enterprise metrics initiatives.
