About Crossover Health

Job Summary

The Physician Assistant role is at the forefront of the patient experience we deliver. The PA assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Lead Physician, in compliance with state practice acts and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures according to physicians’ guidelines.
  • Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and provide home‑going instructions.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens, growth and development, and health maintenance.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems.
  • Record physical findings and formulate plans and prognoses based on patient condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive care plans.
  • Prescribe or recommend medications or treatments such as physical therapy or inhalation therapy.
  • Refer patients to physicians for consultation or specialized resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four‑year college or university. PA Program required.
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency department.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice.
  • National Certification with NCCPA.
  • Current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required.
  • Certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Medical Leader, if allowed in state of practice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
Physical Job Requirements
  • May require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift and carry items up to 50lb.
  • Require manual and finger dexterity, hand‑eye coordination, and full range of body motion.
  • Require corrected vision, hearing, and speech within normal ranges.
  • Must communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Compensation

Base pay range: $65.73 to $85 per hour. Pay may vary based on location and experience.
