Job summary

Armstrong World Industries is seeking an Installation Manager to support Architectural Specialties across North America. The role focuses on developing and maintaining business for AS products by serving as the installation expert for field sales, DSMs, CSMs, ASMs, architects, contractors, owners, and distributors.

You will provide technical solutions and installation assistance, analyze installation concerns, and recommend actions to address field issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry expertise.
  • 8+ years’ experience in project management, estimating, or commercial construction.
  • Demonstrated technical skills, including carpentry, hands-on installation, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and analyze blueprints.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with a variety of customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the AS installation expert for the sales organization and Armstrong customers.
  • Drive current and future sales of AS systems by identifying customer needs and installation challenges, and by working closely with AS business teams and product managers to provide solutions.
  • Participate in new product development and product improvement efforts, as requested by the AS Leadership Team.
  • Identify opportunities, issues, customer needs, and solutions through customer relationships, blueprint review, and regular jobsite visits.
  • Work directly with contractors to understand installation concerns and provide coaching and training on AS systems and capabilities.
  • Occasionally work from Armstrong regional installation training centers located in Illinois, Texas, and Pennsylvania.
  • Assist with AS claims and complaints, including evaluating conditions and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Provide AS training to Field Sales and key contractors, both virtually and in person.
  • Provide acquisition and installation training for internal and external audiences.
  • Engage strategically on projects in partnership with AS Sales, including Channel Managers, CSMs, and ASMs.
  • Support corporate initiatives, including annual seismic testing, installation mockups, and trade shows.
  • Assist with the refinement and development of AS installation instructions.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000 per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors (salary may be adjusted based on geographic location)

The AS Installation Manager will support Architectural Specialties across North America. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining business for AS products by serving as the installation expert for field sales, DSMs, CSMs, ASMs, architects, contractors, owners, and distributors.

The AS Installation Manager will provide technical solutions and installation assistance to ISS, Sales Representatives, and contractors installing AS ceiling and wall systems. The role will also analyze installation concerns, develop appropriate solutions, and recommend actions to address field issues.

What You'll Do

Qualifications
