Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance required.
• Experience in education support roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom materials under teacher direction to support objectives.
• Confers with teachers to support student progress and objectives.
• Evaluates students to determine need for further assessment or instruction.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans to support academic success.
• Maintains classroom equipment and student records for reliability of information.
• Monitors students to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
• Participates in in-service workshops and training.
• Performs other related duties to ensure efficient operation.
• Prepares core subject lessons for individuals or small groups.
• Provides direct instructional services under supervision of classroom teacher.
• Responds to emergencies to resolve safety concerns.
• Responds to inquiries to solve problems and provide information.
