Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. is seeking an AI Training Lead to develop, implement, and execute a comprehensive AI training program for staff supporting a DoD customer. The role connects complex AI tech with practical tool usage and governance frameworks.

The ideal candidate will ensure staff upskilling for AI-powered platforms, deliver instructor-led, virtual, and blended training, and report onsite to Arlington, VA as required by the client. Active Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing training programs for staff.
• Experience delivering instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and blended training to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Working knowledge of generative AI and ML concepts, common AI risks, prompt development, output validation, and responsible human oversight.
• Experience with DoD standard AI tools and frameworks, including genAI.mil and the NIST RMF.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Able to report to Arlington, VA up to full-time based upon client needs.

The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

SPA provides critical decision support to enabling and executing a strategy of technological superiority and enabling the delivery and sustainment of secure, resilient, and preeminent capabilities to the warfighter quickly and cost effectively. Our team of experienced military, technical, and operations research analysts is skilled in evaluating military problems, identifying the driving factors, devising innovative approaches, collecting applicable data, developing necessary software tools, and performing thorough and timely assessments to inform technology and acquisition governance decisions to ensure U.S. military forces retain military superiority in the future.

We have an immediate need for an AI Training Lead to provide onsite support out of Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

Starting with a baseline set of AI training modules, the AI Training Lead will spearhead the development, implementation, and execution of a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) training program for staff supporting a Department of War (DoW) customer. This role bridges the gap between complex AI technologies and practical utilization of existing toolsets. The ideal candidate will ensure that staff are effectively upskilled to adopt, validate, and leverage AI-powered platforms within the context of Federal and SPA governance frameworks. The training program will include both general and role-specific focus areas, and will incorporate validation of staff competency pre- and post-training.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience developing training programs for enhancing staff members' technical capabilities
• Experience delivering instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and blended training to technical and nontechnical audiences
• Working knowledge of generative AI and ML concepts, common AI risks, prompt development, output validation, and responsible human oversight
• Experience with DoD standard AI tools and frameworks, including but not limited to genAI.mil and the NIST RMF
• Active Secret clearance
• Able to report to Arlington, VA up to full-time based upon client needs

Desired:

• Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience developing AI or emerging technology training for DoW or Federal customers
• Familiarity with recognized instructional-design and training-evaluation frameworks
• Experience developing competency models, role-based learning pathways, train-the-trainer programs, and performance-based assessments
• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise technology adoption and organizational change
