Job summary

Jobtailor in Kentucky is seeking a senior AI governance professional to oversee enterprise risk governance for AI activities across the bank. You will coordinate use-case intake, assessment, and governance, and serve as the AI Working Group coordinator, maintaining decision logs and action items.

Responsibilities include maintaining AI use-case inventories, developing dashboards, ensuring regulatory alignment, and guiding model risk management initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in a financial institution or consulting environment with exposure to AI governance.
  • 3–5 years of experience evaluating or governing AI/ML use cases across the lifecycle.
  • Experience with generative AI, machine learning, or decision-support systems.
  • Licenses and certifications listed: CISA, CRISC, FRM, CTPRP, and relevant AI governance certifications.

  • Administer the Bank’s enterprise AI risk governance framework and supporting procedures.
  • Coordinate AI use-case intake, assessment, classification, and governance activities across business lines and corporate functions.
  • Serve as coordinator for the AI Working Group, preparing agendas and meeting materials, maintaining decision logs, and tracking action items.
  • Maintain the enterprise inventory of AI use cases and governance records.
  • Assess AI implementations and determine applicable governance requirements and control expectations.
  • Develop management reporting and dashboards covering AI inventory, approvals, issues, and emerging risks.
  • Monitor compliance with AI governance standards and escalation to executive leadership.
  • Promote awareness of AI governance requirements throughout the institution.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise AI risk policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Serve as a senior Model Risk team member and delegate of the Chief Model Risk Officer for model approvals and issue closures.
  • Research and evaluate emerging modeling techniques, including AI/ML, and assess applicability and risk implications.
  • Enhance the model risk management framework, including validation methodologies, documentation standards, and governance practices.
  • Review academic and industry research, summarize insights, and propose practical applications for model risk oversight and innovation.
  • Interpret evolving AI regulatory expectations and translate them into practical governance requirements.
  • Coordinate regulatory examinations, audits, and independent reviews of AI governance.
  • Participate in enterprise initiatives involving emerging technologies and advanced analytics.
  • Own the design, implementation, and enhancement of governance workflows within Archer or similar systems.
  • Recommend customer service enhancements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, economics, statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, law, or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline is listed.
  • 8–12 years of experience in a financial institution or consulting environment, with demonstrated exposure to AI governance.
  • 3–5 years of experience evaluating or governing AI/ML use cases across the lifecycle, including pre-implementation assessment, control design, and post-deployment monitoring.
  • Experience with generative AI, machine learning, or decision-support systems.
  • Understanding of AI/ML risks, including bias, explainability, data dependency, and automation risk.
  • Experience supporting or interacting with internal audit, regulators, or independent model review functions.
  • Ability to apply risk-based judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to analyze complex AI/ML concepts and communicate risks, limitations, and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to challenge and influence business and technology stakeholders on risk identification, control design, and governance outcomes.
  • Ability to identify patterns, emerging risks, and systemic issues across multiple AI use cases.
  • Ability to make governance decisions regarding classification, control requirements, and escalation thresholds.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional governance processes across Risk, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Ability to develop and interpret risk metrics, monitoring outputs, and performance indicators for AI systems.
  • Licenses and certifications listed: CISA, CRISC, FRM, CTPRP, and relevant AI governance certifications.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office software, computer applications, and department-specific software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with on-site equipment.
