Job summary

The Bindu Institute, LLC is seeking an Art Therapist to provide outpatient art therapy sessions for veterans with brain/spinal cord injuries and PTSD, in Florida. Provisional ATR accepted; you will conduct intakes, develop treatment plans, perform assessments, document progress weekly, and contribute to interdisciplinary meetings.

Flexible, part-time schedule and mileage reimbursement are offered. Must have a Master's in Art Therapy and ATR/ATR-BC certification; valid driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must hold ATR/ATR-BC or provisional ATR with appropriate credentials.
  • Master's degree in Art Therapy or related counseling field.
  • Experience with developmental and physical disabilities preferred.
  • Military background advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and clean background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outpatient art therapy services to enhance patients' well-being and progress.
  • Conduct intakes and oversee individual and occasional family therapies.
  • Develop and adapt treatment plans, conducting regular reviews as needed.
  • Perform mental health assessments, offering art therapy/counseling and intervention services.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in line with federal and state guidelines.
  • Lead therapeutic art activities, document session progress weekly, and actively contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings for enhanced communication and unity.

Join our team as an Art Therapist and make a meaningful impact by facilitating one-hour Art Therapy sessions once a week for veterans managing brain/spinal cord injuries and PTSD. Provisional Registered Art Therapist accepted. This role focuses on using creativity and expressive art to assist wounded warriors in overcoming challenges and enhancing cognitive abilities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver outpatient art therapy services to enhance patients' well-being and progress.

Requirements
  • Certification as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) or Registered Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC).
  • Or a Provisional Registered Art Therapist.
  • Master's degree in Art Therapy or related counseling field, with master’s level Art Therapy certification.
  • Preferred experience working with individuals facing developmental and physical disabilities.
  • Military background is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean background and driver’s record checks.
