Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking an Art Therapist to provide school-based services for a local school district in Frederick County, MD. This itinerant position offers approximately 18 hours per week, serving students across all grade levels. Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small-group art therapy services to students with a variety of social, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals, when applicable.
  • Use creative arts interventions to promote emotional expression, self-regulation, coping skills, and social-emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, psychologists, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and service logs in accordance with district and state requirements.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on individual needs and outcomes.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive therapeutic environment that encourages creativity and personal growth.
  • Follow all school district policies, professional ethics, and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Perform other duties related to student services as assigned.
