Job Description
Qualifications

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and implement Ohio Learning Standards to meet the needs of all students in all classroom learning environments.
  • Guide and encourage students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver appropriate instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Develop innovative and creative lesson plans and student activities for learning.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
  • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities, including the use of relevant technology to support instruction, as appropriate.
  • Identify and select varied instructional resources and methods to meet students' individual needs.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the classroom environment, observing and evaluating their academic performance, development and progress.
  • Encourage, motivate and monitor the progress of individual students.
  • Support appropriate student behavior in the classroom by establishing and maintaining a positive behavioral intervention system consistent with building and district expectations, rules and procedures.
  • Review student assignments and provide feedback in a timely fashion.
  • Evaluate student performance toward learning targets.
  • Communicate important information regularly to students and their parents regarding student progress and non-academic student needs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all aspects of individual student progress and development.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law.
  • Prepare and submit requested/required reports on students in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in building and district School Improvement initiatives such as DLT, BLT, TBT meetings and district professional development consistent with the goals and action steps within the Warren City School District's School Improvement Plan.
  • Participate in community and student events.
  • Abide by all State and Federal Guidelines for all students.
  • Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School District Board of Education.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Building Principal or his/her designee.
Salary

Placement on Salary Table A contingent upon degree and prior experience.
