MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instructional Design: Design engaging visual arts lessons across various mediums aligned with state art standards.
Classroom Culture: Foster a classroom environment built on mutual respect, intellectual curiosity, and inclusivity.
Collaboration: Work closely with the grade-level teams to support interdisciplinary projects and display student artwork.
Studio & Data Management:Safely manage art supplies and use artistic rubrics to differentiate instruction for all learners.
Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with students, families, and administration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification: Valid CT Teaching License/Certificate with Art endorsement (042), or eligibility for certification.
Experience: Previous middle school art teaching experience or studio instruction preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of middle school developmental milestones, studio safety, and art education best practices.
Skills: Excellent classroom management, material organization, and interpersonal skills.
Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and meet all district employment requirements
START DATE: October 13, 2026
RATE OF PAY & BENEFITS: Determined by contractual agreement
