Job summary

Blick Art Materials, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our customer-focused team at the Towson location. You will drive sales, uphold service standards, and nurture relationships with local artists and customers to strengthen Blick’s role in the arts community.

You will oversee store operations, inventory, scheduling, and staff development, while partnering with leadership to ensure loss prevention and safe, compliant store practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; college preferred but not required.
• One year of retail management experience or one year with Blick.
• Demonstrated superior sales performance.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Increase sales volume, uphold customer service standards, develop and maintain customer relationships, making the store a key partner in the art community.
• Ensure high levels of customer experience by training on standards in retail and framing.
• Provide customer service at the Custom Services desk.
• Assist the Custom Services production team as needed.
• Partner with the General Manager to build and maintain relationships with key artists and art influencers.
• Direct and oversee the overall operations of the retail location.
• Oversee all aspects of inventory.
• Ensure compliance with Loss Prevention, Safety, and Company Policies.
• Communicate and maintain sales goals; coordinate marketing programs.
• Understand and manage store financials using budget and P&L reports.
• Maintain product knowledge and ensure staff training on framing.
