Job summary

Disney Online’s Creative Development team in Glendale, CA seeks an art intern to support artists on our creative development team. You will assist with visual guidance, brand feedback, and concept/design support for Disney & Pixar Games across mobile, console, and PC projects.

You will review submissions with a senior Artist, helping guide artistic design to ensure a compelling, authentic Disney & Pixar experience. This full-time onsite internship runs mid January through June 4, 2027.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to create compelling artwork, graphics and illustrations.
• Strong passion and enthusiasm for Disney & Pixar Brands and IP.
• Clear understanding of various gaming platforms (Mobile, Console, and PC) and various game types and genres.
• 2D art skills with ability to draw and illustrate Disney-like characters and worlds.

Responsibilities

• Play game development builds, and review art asset submissions, to generate brand and qualitative feedback
• Assist in providing visual feedback, guidance, resources and direction to help deliver quality and brand authenticity across assigned games in the form of draw-overs, painter-overs, and written notes
• Collaborate with external game partners, through internal project leads, on visual designs throughout the product lifecycle (from ideation to release to live operations) on assigned projects
• Problem-solve brand/visual design challenges, in collaboration with project leads
• Contribute to special internal projects beyond visual development of games, including the creation of team branding items, presentation decks and unique executions
• Brand & Franchise Guidance: Research existing and upcoming Disney and Pixar IP guidelines to provide guidance to our partners that ensure that the game art direction and visuals within our products are being designed and executed mindfully, authentically, and respectfully
• Act as a support for their direct manager, and art team at large, as they creatively oversee and guide projects from beginning to end, keeping them updated on assignment progress
