Job summary

A community-focused art organization is seeking a part-time Art Instructor in Lancaster, PA. The instructor will guide artists through personalized classes, assisting in their creative processes and adapting lessons to meet individual needs as outlined in their Individual Support Plans. The role offers opportunities for self-direction and system-wide connections, engaging in a dynamic team environment. Ideal candidates will possess an art degree or relevant experience and demonstrate creativity, multitasking, and teamwork. Compensation is $14.50/hour.

• Art degree/art instruction background desired, but other relevant experience may meet expectations.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes for artists and assist them in their art-making processes.
• Create lesson plans in alignment with Individual Support Plans (ISP).
• Prepare themed projects and accommodate varying skill levels.
• Engage participants in skill development while maintaining instructor to artist ratios.
• Communicate effectively to class participants and other groups.
