Art Gallery - Retail Sales and Administrative Associate

We are searching for an energetic, focused, positive, self‑motivated team player that enjoys working with the public and is willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Sell fine art and fine crafts, learning and memorizing information about the artists and their work to confidently share it with customers.
• Carry out special marketing projects as they arise.
• Assist with administrative duties, including working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Prepare sales slips, requiring good math skills (we do not use a point‑of‑sales program).
• Receive shipments.
• Merchandize.
• Maintain inventory.
• Wrap gifts.
• Display merchandise.
• Perform daily cleaning, including glass shelves and merchandise, polishing furniture, and sweeping.
• Adapt to additional duties that may arise.
• Work efficiently under pressure during busy times and use quieter times productively.
• Knowledge of art is helpful but not required.

Work Hours

Part or full time. Weekly flexibility is helpful. The gallery is open 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, and 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays, with additional holiday hours.
