Job summary

The RISD Store seeks temporary sales associates to provide assistance to students. The workweek consists of a schedule of 16-35 hours per week, with a flexible schedule including weekends.

The temporary sales clerk will deliver courteous customer service, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, apply labels, and keep work areas clean. Cross-training across RISD Retail departments is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to cross-train in RISD Retail departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service and assist students.
• Ring up sales, receive payment, and make change.
• Stock merchandise and label/tag items.
• Clean shelves, counters, and work areas.
