Job summary

KnitWell Group, owner of Ann Taylor, is seeking an Art Director in New York to concept and execute compelling e-commerce imagery that brings the brand to life. You will work with the Creative Director and cross‑functional teams to maintain brand integrity across PDP and campaigns.

The role demands mentorship of the design team, collaboration with stylists, photographers and production, and the ability to deliver high‑impact visuals under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• BA in Marketing or similar discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in retail or brand.
• Experience with art direction and PDP.
• Strong collaboration, mentoring and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage concept, design and execution of brand creative for PDP and e-commerce images.
• Oversee the design team to ensure concepts and brand vision are consistently compelling.
• Partner with Lead Stylist on all e-commerce photoshoots.
• Supervise online photo team including photographers, stylists, hair and makeup for product shoots.
• Art direct photo shoots.
• Cast models and choose photographers for shoots.
• Supervise all pre- and post-production work for imagery, meeting deadlines.

About the role

The Art Director will have responsibility for concepting and executing e-commerce imagery, while helping the Ann Taylor brand aesthetic come to life online. This position will work closely with the Creative Director to concept and present seasonal campaigns and work with all teams to execute all channels. This position ensures that the integrity of the brand is present in PDP and e-commerce imagery and maintains continuity in all facets of the brand experience. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, collaborative, a conceptual thinker and be able to mentor and manage the design team.

You’ll bring to the role

• BA in Marketing or similar discipline
• 5+ years’ experience within retail or brand
• Experience with art direction
• Experience with PDP
• Proven ability to manage relationships and drive process
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Ability to troubleshoot and be solution-oriented
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high volume environment
• Strong internal motivation, natural ambition, and ability to work quickly on high level projects

The target salary range for this role is: $110,000-$112,000 *Any job offer will consider factors such your qualifications, relevant experience, and skills.
