Job summary

Kargo seeks a senior designer to elevate our brand expression across surfaces—from sales decks and event activations to social content and Cannes moments. This role owns the craft and consistency of Kargo's visual identity, partnering with the Design Director to translate strategy into design that distinguishes Kargo in a crowded ad tech landscape.

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 4 days per week.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of design experience at a media company, ad agency, in-house brand, or comparable creative environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating typography, layout, photography, illustration, and composition with strong motion/animation work.
• Expert command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma; fluency in Google Suite, PowerPoint, and Asana.
• Ability to concept and execute across branding systems, presentations, event environments, social, and video.
• Strong project management instincts and clear communication.
• Craft obsession with attention to detail and staying collaborative under deadlines.
• Preferred: live events/design for experiential activations or large-format environments; background in ad tech, media, or B2B brands.

Responsibilities

• Design bespoke presentation templates, one-pagers, and pitch assets for sales and marketing collateral.
• Lead end-to-end creative for flagship events like Cannes, NewFronts, and CES, from concept to on-site execution.
• Produce motion, animation, and short-form video assets for LinkedIn, industry channels, and internal comms.
• Codify and evolve the brand system by updating guidelines, templates, and asset libraries.
• Establish scalable creative operations with intake, prioritization, and milestone communication.
• Translate business asks into creative direction and coach non-designers on what good looks like.
• Manage a high volume of requests, flag risks, and communicate timelines proactively.

The Opportunity

This role owns the craft and consistency of Kargo's visual identity, partnering with the Design Director to translate strategy into design work that distinguishes Kargo in a crowded ad tech landscape. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 4 days per week.

The Daily To-Do

• Design bespoke presentation templates, one-pagers, and pitch assets that raise the creative bar on sales and marketing collateral—and become the sales org's default toolkit
• Lead end-to-end creative for flagship events like Cannes, NewFronts, and CES, from concept through on-site execution
• Produce a consistent stream of motion, animation, and short-form video assets that strengthen Kargo's voice across LinkedIn, industry channels, and internal comms
• Codify and evolve the brand system—contributing updates to brand guidelines, templates, and asset libraries so the broader org can self-serve on-brand work without sacrificing quality
• Establish a scalable creative operations rhythm with clear intake, prioritization, and milestone communication for incoming requests
• Translate business asks from sales, events, and marketing partners into creative direction—without needing perfect briefs—and coach non-designers on what good looks like
• Manage a high volume of concurrent requests, from a Cannes activation to a same-day sales deck, proactively flagging risks and timelines before they become fire drills

Qualifications

• 6+ years of design experience at a media company, ad agency, in-house brand, or comparable creative environment
• Portfolio demonstrating mastery across typography, layout, photography, illustration, and composition, with strong motion/animation work
• Expert command of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma; fluency in Google Suite, PowerPoint, and Asana for day-to-day production and collaboration
• Ability to concept and execute across formats—branding systems, presentations, event environments, social, and video
• Strong project management instincts: juggling multiple workstreams, setting priorities, and communicating status without being asked
• Craft obsession—sweats the details others miss, brings a point of view on design trends and culture, and stays positive and collaborative when priorities shift or deadlines tighten
• Preferred: experience designing for live events, experiential activations, or large-format environments (drone shows, booth design, signage), and a background in ad tech, media, or B2B brands selling into marketers and agencies

In accordance with applicable federal, state, and local pay transparency laws, the anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for variable compensation — either the Kargo Sales Incentive Plan (sales roles) or an annual discretionary bonus (all other roles). Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, education, and skills.

U.S Salary Range $95,000 — $105,000 USD
