Job summary

Publicis Commerce in Chicago is seeking an Art Director with a strong portfolio and a hybrid work schedule. You will collaborate with client leadership, planning and creative teams to develop concepts aligned with objectives and shopper marketing strategies.

You will support the Senior Art Director across the creative process, contribute to new business presentations, and handle production steps. A portfolio is essential for consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic arts or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years of marketing or advertising experience, preferably agency.
• Proficiency in Mac software and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong portfolio with design, color, typography skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Client Leadership and Creative teams to develop concepts.
• Understand Shopper Marketing discipline and contribute to execution.
• Assist Senior Art Director from concept through production.
• Participate in new business presentations and spec work.
• Take on other duties as assigned by Associate Creative Director.

Overview

We're looking for an Art Director. Please include your portfolio link in your application; candidates without portfolios will not be considered. Candidates must reside in a commutable distance to our Chicago office for a hybrid work schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Client Leadership, Strategic Planning and Creative teams to develop concepts that meet predetermined objectives and strategies
• Develop an understanding of the Shopper Marketing discipline
• Assist Senior Art Director in all aspects of creative execution, from initial concepts through production phase
• Engage in new business presentations and spec work for potential clients
• All other duties as assigned by Associate Creative Director

Skill Sets Required

• Bachelor's degree in graphic arts or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of marketing or advertising experience, preferably agency experience in shopper marketing or retailer promotions
• Proficiency in applicable Mac software programs, including Adobe Creative Suite
• A well-rounded portfolio of conceptual work, with strong design, color balance, photography, logo and typography skills
• Self-starter personality with enthusiastic, \"can do\" attitude in accepting work/new challenges
• Effective interpersonal skills, working well across functions
• Conscientious work ethic
• High level of organization, attention to detail and innovation

Compensation Range: USD $66,120.00 - USD $91,350.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
