Job summary

Nike, Inc. in Beaverton seeks an experienced Art Director contractor to lead the creative vision across marketing, branding and communications from concept to final delivery.

You will manage end-to-end campaigns, collaborate with Sr Creative Directors and agency partners, and guide internal designers to deliver on-brand visuals across print, digital, retail and environmental channels.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in art direction or related creative role.
• Strong portfolio in branding, visual storytelling, typography and layout.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; experience with Keynote.
• Experience leading projects end-to-end within a global brand environment.
• Experience managing external agencies or freelance partners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate creative concepts, visual direction and design strategies for marketing, branding and communication initiatives across print, digital, retail and environmental channels.
• Lead creative projects end-to-end from brief through to final production, managing timelines, priorities and deliverables across concurrent workstreams.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Sr Creative Directors, Brand Marketing Directors, Narrative Leads and agency partners to define creative briefs, scope and objectives.
• Create and direct visual assets across campaign, retail, digital, packaging, event signage and brand identity applications.
• Provide art direction and creative feedback to internal designers and external agencies to ensure consistency with Nike brand standards.
• Build and present creative work in Figma and Keynote to senior brand and marketing leadership.
• Stay current on sport, design and cultural trends to proactively surface relevant creative opportunities for your category.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 5+ years of professional experience in art direction, graphic design or a related creative role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, visual storytelling, typography, layout and creative execution across multiple media.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
• Keynote proficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to lead creative projects from concept through execution independently.
• Experience working in a global, matrixed brand environment across marketing, product and communications teams.
• Outdoor, hiking, golf or sporting goods category experience is a plus.
• Experience managing external agencies or freelance creative partners is a plus.
