Job Summary

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500students across its graduate and undergraduate programs .Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, theUniversity is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas ofAllentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from thePhiladelphia metropolitan area. The Department of Art & Design in the College of Visual & Performing Arts invites applications for part-time adjunctpositions in a faculty adjunct pool in Animated Arts and relatedfields. In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement,performance review and evaluation of faculty is based on effectiveteaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities;continuing scholarly growth; and service. Course load will betaught primarily in-person. If online teaching is offered,successful completion of the Teaching Online Certification Courseoffered through Kutztown University required. We seek applicantscommitted to fostering a diverse and inclusive community offaculty, staff, and students in the Department of Art & Designand across the university.

Courses requiring coverage include (but are not limited to):undergraduate courses in 3D Modeling, 2D Digital Animation, 3DAnimation, Visual Development (Storyboarding/CharacterDesign/Concept Art), and related courses.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requirements: A MA or MFA degree in Animated Arts or a relatedarea
• A strong professional portfolio of personal and studentartwork.
• Successful interview and demonstration of proficiency and abilityto teach related software required.
• Teaching experience of at least one year or equivalent professionalexperience in the animation field is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience of at least one year or job experience in thegiven field.
