Oregon State University invites applications for fixed-term, non-tenure-track Instructor positions in the Art and Art History program in Corvallis to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Appointments may be renewed or transitioned to instructional roles; responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses on-campus or via Ecampus across photography, studio art foundations, painting, sculpture, and art history, with emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusive

Qualifications

• BFA with professional experience and teaching experience.
• MA or MFA with applicable teaching experience.
• Commitment to engaging, educating, and mentoring a diverse group of learners and enhancing diversity through teaching.
• Ability to work collegially with other faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses on-campus or through Ecampus.
• Instruct film photography, digital photography, photographic processes, documentary photography, and studio foundations (2-D, 3-D, drawing).
• Teach painting, printmaking, screen printing, sculpture, and art history.
• Teach art appreciation.
