Job summary

Joliet Junior College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Art to provide quality instruction and participate in evaluations as part of a diverse educational community. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in a relevant field and demonstrate expertise in the studio art area.

This part-time position involves teaching classes, complying with curriculum standards, and meeting contractual obligations. Preference is given to candidates with collegiate teaching experience and a commitment to diverse student backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Art, Art History or Master’s of Fine Arts (MFA) with demonstrated expertise in the studio art area.
• Expertise in appropriate technologies for instruction.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes in appropriate instructional area.
• Participate in annual evaluations.
• Comply with departmental curriculum and policies.
• Attend classes regularly and communicate effectively.
• Meet contractual obligations as spelled out in the adjunct faculty contract.
