One Material Handling System (OMHS) is building Amazon's in-house material handling capabilities, transforming how Amazon designs, builds, and operates its facilities. As Amazon's internal material handling system integrator, we combine precision in technical project management with the vision needed to revolutionize our material handling capabilities. We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager who will exemplify ownership of their assigned material handling projects, ensuring successful implementation across Amazon's network. Our S-TIPM works closely with WWDE, Operations Engineering, strategic suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to deliver complex material handling systems. This role requires both strategic vision and tactical execution to standardize project delivery while maintaining the high standards that complex material handling systems demand. You will drive projects through our comprehensive Project Lifecycle Framework, from initiation through commissioning and handover, while helping establish the processes and playbooks that will enable OMHS to scale across Amazon's network.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to execute material handling system implementations while establishing standardized processes for future deployments. Provide cross‑functional leadership by aligning engineering, operations, procurement, installation and commissioning teams around shared project objectives and milestones. Develop and deliver project execution strategies and detailed plans to drive implementation from initiation through commissioning, ensuring project(s) success. Own and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures against forecasts, identifying cost risks early, and implementing corrective actions to maintain financial targets. Maintain rigorous schedule oversight by developing comprehensive project timelines, monitoring critical path activities, and proactively addressing delays to keep projects on track. Interface with strategic partners to ensure successful integration of Amazon‑spec equipment and facilitate cross‑organizational collaboration to resolve technical and logistical challenges.
