Job summary

JSL Technologies, Inc. in Port Hueneme, CA, seeks an Engineering Technician (Non-exempt) for a 24/7 watchstander role supporting AEGIS Fleet Readiness.

This full-time temporary position requires standing a continual watch with 12-hour shifts, on-site at a government facility, seven days on, seven days off. You will monitor requests via chat, email, and phone, perform initial triage, create ITSM tickets, and coordinate with SMEs and fleet units.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Security Clearance (Secret).
• Technical watchstanding experience or relevant military/government support.
• On-site work on government facility on 12-hour rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

• Stand a formal 24/7 watch from a designated shore facility.
• Monitor fleet requests via chat, email, and phone; respond within procedures.
• Provide front-line technical support and triage with SME coordination.
• Generate and update tickets in ITSM or designated tools.
• Conduct shift turnover and ensure continuity of watch operations.
• Review readiness information and update status charts/files as required.
• Prepare and distribute daily reports for watch assignments.
• Attend required training and pursue SIPR access and training milestones.
