Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking a self-checkout attendant to provide friendly, efficient service at our 24/7 locations. You will handle cashier duties, operate scanners and scales, and assist customers at multiple lanes including self-checkout.

You will be responsible for accurate cash handling, price checks, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while supporting the customer service desk as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation.
• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers and co-workers.
• Accurate handling of cash and transactions with basic math skills.
• Read and follow store policies, price checks, and product locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, maintaining a helpful and positive attitude.
• Operate check stand equipment to process purchases and returns.
• Engage in suggestive selling and upselling when appropriate.
• Handle monetary transactions, issue receipts, and manage cash according to policies.
• Maintain knowledge of product locations, prices, and UPC codes.
• Keep the check stand area clean, stocked, and safe.
• Assist with self-checkout or customer service desk as needed.
