Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle seeks an ARNP/PA-C to provide evaluation and medical management for Heme/Heme Malignancy patients. You will follow patients during chemotherapy, address toxicities, and coordinate care with the treatment team.

Responsibilities include managing treatment side effects, performing procedures, participating in cancer clinical research, and educating patients and caregivers. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited PA or NP training program awarding a Master's degree.
• Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Licensed to practice in the state of Washington.
• DEA license upon credentialing/start.
• ACLS within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred: 1 year ARNP/PA-C experience in Medical Oncology or Hematology.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex and problem-focused H & P's.
• Evaluates and manages on-treatment and post-treatment side effects and survivorship.
• Performs procedures according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure safe, effective treatment and continuity of care.
• Participates in the conduct of cancer clinical research.
• Provides education to patients, caregivers, and peers.
• Communicates with inpatient and outpatient teams.
• Participates in rounds, conferences and committees.
• Active member of Fred Hutch Rapid Response/Code Team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program

Certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Licensed to practice in the state of Washington
