Job summary

PeopleTec is seeking an Automotive Technician to support Camp Blanding, FL. You will perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of Army motor vehicles, following manuals and safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, proficiency with hand/power tools, and the ability to annotate work and manage documentation. Travel up to 10% may be required. ASE certification preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Service Technician or Automotive Technician.
  • 12 months of experience or training with common hand and power tools and test/measurement devices.
  • Experience removing, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts and accessories.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform automotive services on Army motor vehicles.
  • Annotate service work on proper documents.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance per Army manuals.
  • Complete maintenance and repair documentation.
  • Track parts usage and maintenance history.
  • Use Army maintenance management systems and work orders.
  • Change oil, filters, fluids, belts and hoses.
  • Lubricate moving parts and inspect components for wear.
  • Conduct safety and operational checks.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
  • Use diagnostic computers and testing equipment.
  • Identify causes of vehicle malfunctions and propose repairs.
  • Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and driveline components.
  • Service diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles.
  • Repair electrical systems and wiring.
  • Perform welding and fabrication when required.
