Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Plumber trainee to maintain plumbing systems for water, steam, and waste, reading drawings, and planning pipe layouts. Training leads to a civilian contracting pathway post-service.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Maintain heating, water supply, and water distribution systems.
• Read drawings, plans, and specifications and plan pipe layouts.
