Job summary

Cognito Systems is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support the U.S. Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program at Ft. Bliss in El Paso, TX. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to enhance soldier readiness through prevention, injury management, and rehabilitation.

The role emphasizes data-driven performance improvements across physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, and spiritual domains, with opportunities to influence ACFT outcomes and overall readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • CAATE-accredited program graduate.
  • BOC certification required; state licensure/registration may be needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physical therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, dietitians, cognitive performance experts, and occupational therapists.
  • Provide prevention-focused care, acute injury management, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Engage in performance optimization addressing physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, and spiritual readiness domains.
  • Support unit leaders with evidence-based strategies to reduce injuries and promote recovery.
  • Utilize CIMT-developed data/tools to track and improve performance outcomes.
