Job summary

SMX is hiring Business Process Analysts to serve as domain and functional authority for Army financial, transactional, and administrative processes. You will guide extraction of legacy logic into configurable workflows while ensuring strict accounting validations, posting rules, and audit logs.

The role involves mapping legacy structures, defining validation rules, and leading UAT workshops to ensure smooth transition to sustainment teams while mitigating transition risks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business process implementation and solutioning.
• 5+ years of experience with SAP functional design.
• Experience with Army Business Processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy custom-built database applications and document complex transactional workflows to translate them into platform-independent technical requirements.
• Identify potential process pitfalls, regulatory constraints, and operational impacts of migrating legacy capabilities out of mature enterprise environments.
• Map and translate legacy structures, master data configurations, and hierarchical accounting lines from various legacy transactional systems.
• Define validation rules for critical operational capabilities, including statement of transactions, account reclassifications, and funds distribution.
• Facilitate workshops with process owners, lead functional testing (UAT), and manage the transition of support responsibilities to long-term sustainment teams.

You will guide the extraction of legacy business logic from historical reporting tools and systems, transforming them into configurable modern workflows while ensuring strict adherence to statutory accounting validations, posting rules, and comprehensive audit logs. Your functional expertise will mitigate transition risks and prevent operational gaps during capability migrations.

The proposed salary for this position is:: $112,600 USD - $187,600 USD
