Job summary

ANSER is seeking an International Arms Control Treaties and Agreements Analyst to support AF/A10. This full-time, onsite role at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, DC focuses on policy development, treaty compliance, and training materials.

You will advise leadership and manage educational modules for Treaty Compliance Officers, with duties spanning staff work, inspections, and liaison work across services.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, political science, national security studies, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in arms control treaty implementation or compliance.
  • Experience building relationships across the Services and interagency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and staff official DAF policy and position statements on treaty issues.
  • Assess DAF-wide compliance with arms control agreements and support inspections.
  • Plan and support treaty-related exercises and inspections.
  • Provide context and opinions on treaties to A10P leadership at GS-14/O-5 level and above.
  • Draft background materials for A10 Front Office leadership.
  • Develop education/training materials for Treaty Compliance Officers.
  • Review DAF programs for treaty compliance and analyze international proposals to protect Air Force capabilities.
  • Conduct historical research on DAF arms control activities for knowledge sharing.
