Job summary

Baker Hughes in Midland, Texas seeks an ARMO Mechanic I to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical equipment. You will interpret blueprints, use diagnostic tools, and perform corrective actions to ensure reliability and uptime.

Responsibilities include documenting activities, supporting safety procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement in maintenance practices. Onsite role with evening shift options is available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial repair, equipment servicing, manufacturing, or related technical field.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists to diagnose issues.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic circuits and electro-mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers.
  • Familiarity with three-phase 480V and single-phase 120V electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and maintenance tracking.
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Assisting with inspection, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and complaint resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate records related to complaints, troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Utilizing computer systems to track maintenance activities, complaints, and repair documentation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness.

As an ARMO Mechanic I, you are investigating equipment-related issues, diagnosing failures, and performing maintenance and repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational performance. You are utilizing technical drawings, diagnostic equipment, and established maintenance procedures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. You are supporting continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.

As an ARMO Mechanic I, you are being responsible for:

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial repair, equipment servicing, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
