Job summary

Blue Raven Inc. is seeking an Armed Static Security Agent for the D.C. metro area.

You will provide a visible armed security presence at fixed locations, control access, deter threats, monitor daily operations, and respond quickly to incidents while remaining calm and professional. The role requires licenses (Virginia PPS/ASO or MD PI/Guard), at least two years of armed security or related experience, clean records, CPR/BLS, and strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Virginia Armed PPS & ASO and/or Armed MD PI & Guard license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in armed security, executive protection, law enforcement, or military service.
• Must maintain clean criminal and driving records and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must hold current BLS/CPR/AED, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed certifications.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Armed Static Security Agent - D.C. Metro Area

Description

As an Armed Static Security Agent for Blue Raven Inc., you will be responsible for providing a visible and professional armed security presence at fixed locations. This role focuses on access control, deterrence, monitoring, and rapid response, ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Armed Static Agents serve as the first line of defense and must demonstrate strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to respond appropriately to evolving security situations.

Responsibilities

Access Control & Site Security

• Control and monitor entry and exit points to ensure only authorized individuals gain access.
• Verify identification, credentials, and permissions as required.

Armed Deterrence & Presence

• Maintain a visible, professional armed presence to deter criminal or unauthorized activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both interior and exterior.

Monitoring & Observation

• Observe and assess surroundings for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access control systems where applicable.

Incident Response

• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, disturbances, or threats.
• Take immediate action to protect life and property until relieved by law enforcement or supervisors.
• Provide basic medical assistance in emergencies until advanced care arrives.

Reporting & Documentation

• Accurately document incidents, observations, patrols, and activities in written reports.
• Maintain detailed logs as required by site and company protocols.

Client & Public Interaction

• Interact professionally with clients, staff, visitors, and the public.
• Provide clear instructions while maintaining courtesy, discretion, and authority.

Compliance

• Adhere to all company policies and applicable state and local laws.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clients and operations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Virginia Armed PPS & ASO and/or Armed MD PI & Guard license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in armed security, executive protection, law enforcement, or military service.
• Must maintain clean criminal and driving records and hold a valid driver’s license.

• Must be technology literate, including basic use of reporting systems and security technology.
• Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to produce clear, accurate incident reports.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be proficient in English (Level 3), with strong written and verbal communication skills.
