Job summary

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English proficiently.
• Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Arizona state Armed Security Guard card required.
• Minimum of one year in private security, law enforcement, or military.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the processing center's external perimeters, including buildings, grounds, and access points.
• Monitor and control access to the processing center, ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors enter.
• Operate and monitor security equipment, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and communication devices, reporting any suspicious activity or breaches.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, disturbances, or security breaches, assisting processing staff as needed.
• Perform thorough searches of vehicles, packages, and individuals entering or exiting the center per established protocols.
• Assist processing staff with the secure movement of residents within the center, maintaining vigilance.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily security activities.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of firearms and other security equipment; comply with training requirements.
• Collaborate with processing staff and other personnel to ensure a secure environment.
