Qualifications

• Prior armed security experience required.
• Valid firearm permit and compliance with state/local regulations.
• Strong understanding of security procedures, emergency response, and de-escalation techniques.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and instruction to security personnel.
• Immediately respond to on-site emergencies.
• Train and supervise assigned employees.
• Be available for county inspections and provide support to employees during shifts.
• Offer technical and administrative guidance to assigned personnel.
• Ensure adequate coverage to meet all county security requirements.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with security protocols, addressing any deviations and instructing staff on proper procedures.
• Respond to requests for assistance from assigned employees. Maintain thorough knowledge of radio usage and codes, providing training to staff as needed.
• Conduct investigations of security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
• Provide relief coverage for employees as necessary.
• Conduct roll call briefings, including: Inspection of assigned personnel; Briefing on previous shift activities and incidents; Discussion of potential security risks, special events, and other concerns; Issuance of necessary equipment, including earpiece radios.
